Problem
In 2018, I was hired to help support the Senior Director of Learning, Talent, & Engagement who was a “one-woman show.” All learning projects fell under her leadership although she did not have a team or any staff on payroll.

Solution
I was hired as a part-time contract instructional designer to help support various projects that the Senior Director of Learning, Talent, & Engagement managed. These included designing and developing eLearning, animated videos, software tutorials, job aids, and recorded presentations (narrated PowerPoints). I was also tasked with finding voice talent to support animated videos, when needed.

Project Summary
I was hired as a part-time contract Instructional Designer to support the learning function at this organization under the direction of Senior Director of Learning, Talent, & Engagement. I performed a variety of roles on various projects including audio script writing, storyboarding, eLearning design and development, video design and development, job aid design and development, audio editing, and liaising with the LMS (Cornerstone) consultant.

Target Audience
Varied and depended on the project I supported (which were multiple)

Roles Played
Instructional designer, video designer, software demonstration tutorial designer, voice over vendor, learning technology consultant, Liaison with Cornerstone LMS consultant.

Tools Used
VYOND (character videos), PowerPoint, Camtasia Studio, Audacity for audio editing, SharePoint for creating / editing information in the Knowledge Management system.
